West End at Christmas

On Saturday night some friends and I decided to go into the West End to see the Christmas Lights and go for a drink. Of course I took my camera with. Here are a few my favourite photos from the festive Winter Wonderland.

My Winter Must Haves - A Cashmere Jumper, Jeans & Boots

As the weathers got colder it has been time to dig out my winter wardrobe which tends to consist of woolly jumpers, tunics, skinny jeans, leggings and boots. I have to say I am a sucker for cashmere so when I saw this jumper in Tesco of all places I could not resist buying it.

A Foggy Day in London

The last two mornings I have woken up to heavy fog over London, which has created an eerie yet beautiful atmosphere. Here are a couple of photo's I took this morning I know they are not the best (they were taken with my phone, through the window) but you get the feel!

Why Manchester United

Manchester United Logo - Tunnel Old Trafford

Ok so I’m from London but support Manchester United, am I a plastic fan and a glory hunter? Some would probably say so but I don’t consider myself to be. So how did I come to support a team 200 miles from home? Growing up football was never massive at home, my brother would say he supported Spurs but I think that was because my uncle and cousin were massive fans and he would occasionally go with to matches.  We would sometimes watch final score, Match of the Day and the odd match, and my brother had football books and stickers that I would look at, but that was about it.

A Sunny Summer's Afternoon in London

I know I've said this already but London is a great city, and there is nothing better than a walk along the South Bank on a sunny day. I love going down their as its so vibrant and there is always something going on.

Here are a few photo's I took on one of my trips to the South Bank this summer. I think they capture some of the atmosphere.

Cooking with Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville

Yesterday I decided to go shopping at Westfield Stratford, whilst my shopping trip might not have been a success I did get to watch Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville cook, or more to the point for Nev especially talk whilst the chef’s Brendan Fyldes and Michael Wignall cooked!

Old Town Square, Prague
I have always wanted to go to Prague, everyone I knew who had been raved about it, earlier this year one of my friends went for a long weekend, she too came back saying how great it was and recommended a hotel. I decided it was time to visit. A friend and I booked our trip, then a few days before we were due to go flooding hit the area, all we could think was should we go or should we cancel. The foreign office was advising against travel, the hotel, tourist office and forums were all saying the city centre wasn’t overly affected. In the end we decided to go and I’m so glad we did. It truly is a magical place. And the weather was beautiful!

I love taking photo’s I've always got my phone and my camera in my bag, I never know what I might see to catch my eye and where I might want to post it. As you can probably imagine I have a lot of photos, I'm not sure if digital is a good or bad thing for me, I can get trigger happy!

I plan to post some of my favourite photo’s over time but here are a few of my London one’s as a taster.

No Ordinary Thermals

This time of year I never quite know what to wear, it’s not yet warm enough for my woolly tops and jeans or tunics with leggings and Uggs or other boots, but it’s a bit too cold for a long sleeve t-shirt and jeans or a thin cotton jumper or cardigan.

Londoner and proud!

I love London, it's a great city with so much going on, sometimes though I feel I forgot this. When I travel I pack in as much as I can into a short time, though in London I fall into a rut and forget all the city has to offer. Returning home from visiting the sites other large cities have to offer it often reminds me that I neglect London.

Autumn Colours

I love the colours at this time of year, the other day on my way to work I decided to walk through the park, it was beautiful! The sky was blue and there was hardly a cloud in the sky, the colours of leaves were so vibrant, the reds, browns and numerous shades of green, just magical. I could not resist getting my camera out and taking a few photos. Here is a collage of the pictures I took, I hope you like it!
