Wedding To Do List

When I was planning my wedding I kept seeing To Do Lists that started 18 months to two years before the wedding. Whilst the things that needed to be done were the same, my time frame was much shorter, in fact we should have done half the things on these lists already.

I've decided to put together a generic list of everything I can think of that needs to be done in the planning of a wedding. Everyone's wedding is different and there might be some things I've missed either because I've forgotten them or simply they weren't relevant to us.

The list is in an order that worked for us, again this might not work for you, so play around with it to make it work. I hope it's helpful!

Wedding Planning - Setting the date

Setting a Wedding Date
As I mentioned in my previous post it's been an eventful year, which included me getting married. Planning a wedding takes time and can be stressful and full of arguments, I thought that over the next few posts I would share with you some of my tips for planning your big day.

It's been a while!

I've more than slightly neglected this blog over the last year or so, in fact my last entry was on 30th May 2014, so what have I been up to in that time?

Well at the start of May I started dating someone, this relationship soon turned serious and in November on our six month anniversary we got engaged. Then in June this year we got married. Around the same time that we started dating I bought a house so I spent a few months doing it up before moving into it in September. The last 18 months have been crazy but fun, getting to know someone new and starting a life together.

It has also given me the opportunity to do at least one of the things I listed in Londoner and Proud and that was to have a Posh afternoon tea. Both of us have a sweet tooth and afternoon tea has become something of a treat for us.

Most of our teas have been a cake or a scone and a cup of tea, there have however been a few special ones. Here is a taste of the three most memorable of them.

The first tea was at Sopwell House Hotel to celebrate our three month anniversary, it was a beautiful day so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the views, sun and obviously the yummy sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea.

I Ran The Bupa London 10K

You might remember in my post London and Proud I set out a list of things I wanted to do over the year, one of those was to do a 10km run. I am proud to say I have now done it!

London in Pictures

By now you have probably worked out a couple of things about me, firstly I love the city I live in and am proud to call London home and secondly I love to take photos. As you can probably imaging I have taken thousands of pictures of London over the years, I know I have numerous ones that are taken in the same or similar spots. I thought in this post I would share with you just a handful of my London photos, I have tried to include ones that are slightly different rather than your typical London postcard images, these include ones of taken from unusual positions, plus some take slightly closer to home.

Beautiful Pink Tulips

I love flowers and whilst I hardly ever buy them when I do it is a real treat. I was buying flowers for my mum for Mothers Day in Tesco on Sunday and I couldn't resist buying these tulips for myself. Along with orchids tulips are my favourite flowers. These have really opened up since I bought them and the pink and white flower is now obvious, plus as you can see from the picture below they are on a table below a painting of more tulips. I think the picture and the flowers really compliment each other so they look lovely where they are.
